Leadership Dialogues

The Leadership Dialogues "are expected to contribute to the outcome of Stockholm+50 by yielding clear and concrete recommendations and messages for action at all levels, mobilizing the global community behind strengthened cooperation and accelerated innovative action". There will be three LDs, each presided two Co-chairs. The co-hosts of Stockholm+50 selected one co-chair from a developing country and one from a developed country.
The three themes of the LDs were agreed on the resolution 75/326 of the United Nations General Assembly.
The LDs highlight the relevance of stakeholders, as they include the voices of women, youth, older persons, persons with disabilities, Indigenous Peoples and local communities, all invited to contribute to the discussions.

The Three Leadership Dialogues

1.- Reflecting on the urgent need for actions to achieve a healthy planet and prosperity of all

2.- Achieving a sustainable and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic

3.- Accelerating the implementation of the environmental dimension of Sustainable Development in the context of the Decade of Action

The Informal Working groups

The Informal Working Groups are set to be the space to gather contributions, in order to guide the work leading up to Stockholm+50. Three rounds have been planned to enhance participation. The main objectives of the IWG are: "provide inputs to the draft background papers for each Dialogue; mobilize engagement and share experiences and initiatives on the theme of the Dialogue; and identify actions, recommendations and deliverables for governments and stakeholders that can be presented in the Dialogues at Stockholm+50" (Stockholm+50.global).
