“Stockholm+50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity”, is an international meeting hosted by the United Nations system that will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of June 2022, during the week of World Environment Day, to commemorate the 50 years since the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment and its outcome documents, accelerate global action and delivery for sustainable development, including a sustainable recovery from COVID19 pandemic. UNEP serves as the coordinating UN agency for this process. This provides an opportunity for the international community to strengthen cooperation and show leadership in the transformation towards a more sustainable society. The Stockholm+50 Youth Assembly will take place on 30th/31st of May - 1st June (exact dates to be confirmed) in a hybrid format as a youth preparatory event for the Stockholm+50 bringing together youth organizations and movements worldwide. The International Meeting and Youth Assembly will be held further in conjunction with independent events such as the 4th UN Science Policy Business Forum (SPBF) from the 31st May - 4th June, and the Summit of the UN One Planet Network toward the end of May 2022.
